We started our Pagosa Vacation Management program because the art of hospitality seemed to be missing in this market. Aside from the occasional homeowner who goes out of their way to make someone feel special, the vast majority of the vacation rental operations deliver an experience that is mediocre at best.

It’s important to understand that we are not a property management company. Rather, we are a vacation management company. Unlike many property managers, we focus on the entire guest experience, not just the physical home or condo. While our properties play a vital role in the delivery of a first class experience, they are only part of the overall program. If you think about it in terms of a hotel experience (as we do), it’s the interaction with staff and the hospitality you receive (or don’t) that makes a vacation memorable. And, this is precisely where we saw an opportunity…no, a giant gap, to deliver a superior vacation experience by focusing on the people, not just the properties.
